10Template Library β Reusing Your Designs
If you have multiple label sizes or styles, it's tedious to redesign each time. Save designed labels as templates for reuse.
10.1 Save as Template
After designing a label, go to File β Save as Template.
Fill in the dialog:
- Template name: e.g. "Generic Product Label"
- Category: e.g. "Food", "Industrial", "Medical" β for filtering later
- Tags: Add keywords like "barcode, price" β for searching
- Thumbnail: Optional, a visual preview for browsing
Click "OK". The template is saved to the library.
10.2 New from Template
Go to File β New from Template.
The template library window opens. You can:
- Filter by category (e.g. "Food" only)
- Type keywords in the search box
- Browse by thumbnail or list view
Select a template and click "Create from Template".
A new label tab opens with all the template's components. Modify as needed.
10.3 Template Management
- Browse modes: Thumbnail (visual) or List (by name)
- Edit info: Change name, category, tags
- Delete: Remove unwanted templates
- Export/Import: Package templates as .ibap files to share with colleagues or other computers
