- Displays the current label file name (e.g. "My First Label.iba")
- Three buttons on the right: β Minimize, β‘ Maximize/Restore, Γ Close
- Drag the title bar to move the window
β‘ Menu Bar
The menu bar is divided into 6 categories:
| Menu | Contains |
|---|---|
| File | New, Open, Save, Save As, Close Tab, Exit |
| Edit | Undo, Redo, Cut, Copy, Paste, Delete, Select All, Find & Replace |

β’ Toolbar (Below Menu Bar)
The toolbar has two rows:
- Main toolbar: New, Open, Save, Undo, Redo, Cut, Copy, Paste, Delete, Print, Preview
- Format toolbar: When a text component is selected β font, size, bold(B), italic(I), underline(U), alignment, color, Z-order, lock
β£ Component Toolbox (Left)
This lists all "parts" you can add to a label β text, barcode, QR code, image, table, etc. Each part is a component.
To use them: click and hold a component, drag it to the center canvas, then release.
β€ Design Canvas (Center)
This is where you design your label. What you see on the canvas is what the label will look like when printed β WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get).
- You can open multiple labels at once, each in its own tab
- The canvas has a grid (helps alignment) and a ruler (helps measure dimensions)
- Drag components to move them; drag edges to resize
β₯ Properties Panel (Right)
When you select a component on the canvas, this panel shows all its adjustable properties. For example, selecting a text component lets you change its font, color, data binding, etc. Properties are grouped into 5 categories (Position, Appearance, Text, Data, Advanced) β see Chapter 5 for details.
β¦ Status Bar (Bottom)
Displays useful information:
- Zoom level: current zoom percentage (100% = actual size)
- Page number: current page / total pages
- Template size: label dimensions (e.g. 100 Γ 60 mm)
- Cursor position: mouse coordinates on the canvas
- Selected component: name of the currently selected component
